We built Rocket Fuel to solve a very specific problem: our customers wanted an easy way to update their websites. There are lots of ways to go about this; lots of fancy programs and pieces of software that we could install, and be done with it. But that's not how we do things around here.
No, we weren't satisfied with any software that we tried. "This one has too many buttons." "That one has too many features." "This one works for blogs, but not much else." We were left with no choice. If nobody is going to make updating a website both simple and powerful, then we will. So we wrote our own software, and Rocket Fuel was born.
A Better Way
Rocket Fuel is completely revolutionary in its approach to managing a website's content. Rather than treating a website as a number of discrete pages, it describes it as a collection of "modules." Your Home page is a module. Frequently Asked Questions is a module. A blog is a module. "Pages" assume that every section of your site is like a blank sheet of paper. Pages are for books. Modules are for websites.
There are no functions that are confusing. Nothing you click will destroy your website. You simply add, remove and change the content, which is exactly what you wanted to begin with. It's so simple to use, anybody who can send an email will be able to use Rocket Fuel right away, without training. Doesn't that sound like a better way?
